On Thursday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met MNS chief Raj Thackeray at Thackeray’s residence in central Mumbai which has become talk of the town. Shinde met Raj Thackeray at his new residence ‘Shivtirth’ in Dadar.
Regarding the meeting, an official said that Shinde called Thackeray just on the occasion of Ganesh festival. However, speculations on this meeting are rife that there is a strong political reason behind it.
Adding fuel, this meeting happened ahead of the crucial civic polls in Mumbai.
Also The Raj Thackeray, who has been at loggerheads with his cousin and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray for long, had met BJP leaders last month, leading to a rumour that the BJP party may join hands with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena for the Mumbai polls. However, we have to wait and see till official confirmation.
