Traffic restrictions in view of Ganesh immersion

In view of Ganesh Idols immersion of 11th day in Hyderabad, Police department issued advisory and instructed their teams to plan processions considering the traffic situation across the city. It is expected that close to 20,000 Ganesh Idols will be immersed in Hussain Sagar on the final 11th day (Friday). Traffic restrictions have been announced from 6AM tomorrow till 10 AM on Saturday.

Around 74 portable and natural ponds are set for immersion and 3,000 traffic policemen will be deployed for the smooth procession in the city. Hyderabad Traffic Joint CP Ranganath has said that Nimarjan will be completed by 10AM on Saturday and Khairatabaad Ganesh Idol procession is expected to begin from 9:30 AM on Friday. The final immersion of Ganesh Idols will be under complete monitoring through CCTV cameras, Mounted Vehicles and Drones.

Joint CP Ranganath appealed the citizens of Hyderabad to offer full cooperation and comply with rules set by Hyderabad City Police officials during the Nimarjanam restrictions. On other hand, Telangana state government has declared public holiday for all Govt offices, educational institutes in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Secunderabad and Medchal-Malkajgiri Districts on Friday (September 9) in view of Ganesh idols immersion.
