Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’, which had its theatrical release on September 9, witnessed a very good day-1 at the box-office. Breaking the recent Bollywood trend of a dull box-office show, the film went on to collect Rs a massive 36 crore on first day of release. When it comes to US box-office, the fantasy drama which saw strong pre-sales has earned more than $1 million on the first day.
Brahmastra has seen tremendous advance bookings all over the globe and released in 8000+ screens all over the world. Directed by Ayan Mukherji, this movie also features Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and others. A special and suprise appearance by King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan in the movie has made fans go berserk in the theatres.
Even though it has opened to mixed response from critics, the film stood up to expectations in terms of box-office numbers. The Hindi version of the movie did more than 30.5 Cr and it also minted good numbers in Telangana and Andhra, thanks to huge promotions made by Rajamouli and lead cast. The movie is likely to continue its pace and roar on this weekend as well.
