According to our sources, Batsman Shikar Dhawan has been selected as the captain of the ODI series played against South Africa on home soil. Although an official announcement has been awaited, the reports around BCCI confirm the same. This decision comes in as T20 world cup players are rested.
The eighth edition of the ICC T20 world cup is slated from October 16 to November 13 of this year in Australia. It is also reported that V.V.S. Laxman might be heading as the coach of the team as Rahul Dravid, the head coach is absent.
The matches against South Africa shall begin on September 28, where we play three matches against them. The first match will take place at Thiruvananthapuram. Second match shall be on October 2, to mark Gandhi Jayanthi, which will be held ar Guwahati, followed by the third one at Indore on October 4.
The team led by Shikar Dhawan will play it’s first match at Lucknow on October 6, followed by 9th at Ranchi & 11th at Delhi.
