During the ongoing Assembly sessions in Telangana, the government decided to pass a resolution in the assembly to appeal to the union government to name the new Parliament building after Dr. BR Ambedkar’s name.
Not stopping there, the Telangana CM also said that they are naming the new secretariat in Telangana after Ambedkar’s name. A government order related to the same will be out soon.
“Among the people who made great efforts for the welfare of the downtrodden- There is no doubt that Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar is in the same cadre as Che Guevara and Nelson Mandela. This state would not have been formed if not for his framing of a section in the constitution,” said KCR.
“CM Sri KCR has decided to name the new Telangana Secretariat, which is under construction, after world-renowned intellectual, chief architect of Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. Bababsaheb Ambedkar. CM exhorted the Chief Secretary to take necessary action in this regard,” said Telangana CMO.
“It is a proud moment for people of Telangana as State’s administration headquarters – the Secretariat – is being named after India’s social philosopher and intellectual of highest order Dr. BR Ambedkar. This decision is exemplary for India,” said CM KCR.
“Telangana State would not have been a reality if not for the vision of Dr. Ambedkar behind Article 3 of the Constitution. We are providing administration with a human touch for SC, ST, BC, Minority and Women sections, including the EWS, in the light and spirit of Constitution. Telangana, which has become a model State for the rest of the country with its comprehensive development programmes across the sectors, once again sets an example by naming the Secretariat after Dr. BR Ambedkar. Telangana Legislative Assembly has recently passed a unanimous resolution requesting the Union Government to name the new Parliament building after Dr. BR Ambedkar. This will enhance the reputation of India in the comity of nations,” said KCR.
“I will soon write to the Prime Minister Sri @narendramodi Ji with a request to consider the demand of Telangana Govt. to name the new Parliament building after Dr. BR Ambedkar,” revealed KCR.
