KA Paul is someone who caught everyone’s attention with his weird acts. KA Paul with his Praja Shanthi party thought to stand in elections but hasn’t. KA Paul, every now and then appears on some or other news channel and makes claims of coming to power in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. But the fact is that nothing is happening at the party. Recently, we have come to know that the Central Election Commission canceled the recognition of 537 inactive political parties across India. KA Paul’s Praja Shanthi party is one among the 537.
This list also includes twenty parties registered from Telangana. The EC decided to cancel recognition of Political parties that did not contest the 2014-19 elections. Some parties, even after applying for a common symbol and even after registering to get an exemption from income tax, did not contest the elections. All these are considered inactive parties.
A postal address is mandatory for any registered political body and also changes in it should be reported to the EC. But, the EC found that many political parties are not following these policies. Considering all this, the EC cancelled the registration of many parties.
On the other hand, KA Paul is not stepping back and is planning to hold a World Peace Meeting on the 2nd of October, at the Gymkhana grounds. Multiple prominent personalities like Kodandaram, Gaddar and others are also taking part in the same.
