After winning the series against Australia by 2-1, Team India is now set to take on South Africa in a home bilateral series. India and South Africa will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs in this tour. The first T20I will be held tonight in Thiruvananthapuram.
India will be happy with its batting order as many of our batters like KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav played impressive knocks at least in one game in the Australia series. The bowling department is a concern through. Especially, pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel are in poor form. Unless they get back their mojo, it will be tough for India in the World Cup.
South Africa has been doing very well in T20s in the recent past. In the last 12 months, it played 18 T20Is and won 13 of them. Captain Temba Bavuma also returns to the squad after a gap of three months. This will be a boost for the team.
India will not have Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in this series. We may see Rishab Pant and Arshdeep Singh replacing them. The match starts at 7 PM. It will be telecasted on Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar.
