Congress Party is putting all its efforts in gaining back a strength that the party has lost all these years. Ahead of the general elections coming soon in the country, the party leaders are planning multiple programmes to attract the public once again. As part of the same, Rahul Gandhi has started Bharath Jodo Yatra which is now joined by Sonia Gandhi. It has become the trending topic in the political circles today.
Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday joined Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders at the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in Karnataka’s Mandya district. Before joining this Yatra, Sonia Gandhi also visited the Bheemanakolli Temple in Begur village to offer Dussehra prayers. She joined the march later and assured the party leaders that their party would come into power soon.
Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar said, “After Vijayadashami, there will be Vijaya in Karnataka. We are proud that Sonia Gandhi has come to walk on the streets of Karnataka. We are coming to power in the state, and BJP is on the way to shutting its shop.”
Rahul Gandhi started this Bharat Jodo Yatra and as part of this, he will cover as many as 12 states in its 3,500-km long march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. The Yatra entered its Karnataka leg on September 30th. Very soon, the Yatra will begin in the Telugu states.
