MK Stalin elected as DMK Chief for second time

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam aka DMK is a political party based in the state of Tamil Nadu. The political party is currently the full-majority ruling party and the union territory of Puducherry where it is currently the main opposition. Mr Karunanidhi became the first president of the DMK in the year 1969. Now, the party members have picked the party chief as MK Stalin for the second time.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin was unanimously elected as party president at the party’s general council meeting held in Chennai on Sunday. No one has opposed his selection as the party chief and it is no suspense.

At the same time, the senior political leaders Duraimurugan and T R Baalu were unanimously elected as general secretary and treasurer respectively. The election is a ritual for the party, as part of their 15th organisational polls.

MK Stalin expressed his gratitude to the party leaders at all the levels and also assured that he would continue the development in the state with the help of all of them. He assured that the party will shine big in the coming days.
