Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry, the commission which is assigned to probe the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa has submitted their finding and claims, indicting Sasikala, her close aide, and three others, including Jayalalithaa’s private physician Dr K S Sivakumar, then health secretary J Radhakrishnan and former health minister C Vijayabaskar are at fault.

It also emphasized the need to probe certain aspects of the death, including an alleged delay in medical procedures, and accused the Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, Pratap C Reddy, of not conveying the real information on Jayalalithaa’s condition to the public during her admission there.

Sasikala rejects charges made against her by Justice Arumughaswany Commission of enquiry, saying the need for an angiogram never arose for Jayalalithaa and she did not prevent any move to take the then CM abroad for treatment in Tamil Nadu. Without naming DMK, she attacked the ruling DMK, accusing it of politicising the death.

“Those who lacked the courage to take on Amma (Jayalalithaa) politically have resorted to the trivial act of politicizing her death. But people will not support such actions.”
