It’s that time of the year. We are in for the epic World Cup clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. Iconic Melbourne Cricket Stadium (MCG) will be hosting this much-awaited game. Though the excitement is filled in fans of both nations, rain may play a spoilsport during this game.
This is the first game for both India and Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2022. Team India looks solid on the batting front. But we have to see how the top-order tackles Pakistan’s trump card Shaheen Shah Afridi and youngster Naseem Shah in the opening overs. After giving a stunning performance in the warm-up game against Australia, Mohammed Shami will most likely make it to the playing XI. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh will be the other two pacers. Harshal Patel may get dropped. Ashwin may replace Yuzi Chahal to make the batting lineup a bit strong. So, he will lead the spin attack with Axar.
On the flip side, Pakistan has a settled side and it is further strengthened by the inclusion of Shaheen Afridi. Openers Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan are in top form. Indian bowlers need to get their wickets early. Pakistan’s middle order lacks experience so Indian bowlers can bank on their vulnerability by getting the openers’ wickets early.
