It’s that time of the year in New Delhi where the Air quality is always going down. Yet again, there is a dip in the air quality in Delhi. Ahead of the civic body polls, the ruling party AAP and the opposition BJP are blaming each other about the same. The air quality in Delhi has now reached to severe category.
At 1pm it was in the 400-500 range or “severe” category in several areas of the national capital. The pollution levels are growing steadily and has reached the highest now, since January. Now, the air quality index is hovering close to 500.
The never ending pollution in the national capital is a big issue for the poor quality of air in the National Capital region. Despite implementing the curbs such as a ban on construction and demolition activities under the Graded Response Action Plan stage III, there is no improvement in the same.
The concentration of PM2.5 is at 40 to 60 times the World Health Organisation’s annual safe limit.
The officials are working on making things better but as long as they don’t control the pollution, the issue will pop up every year without fail.
