Mallikarjun Kharge, the new party chief of the Indian National Congress (INC) has made some interesting comments about Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra that reached Hyderabad, Telangana a few days before. Kharge, needless to say, is one of the senior politicians hailing from an oppressed community.
After winning the party presidential election, Kharge immediately became active and started speaking about current affairs and this move was very much appreciated by the political and media brigades for being a vocal & experienced opposition leader. Ahead of the start of Wednesday’s Yatra, Kharge said that Bharat Jodo Yatra is about to bring a silent revolution in the country. Along with Rahul Gandhi, there are many others who were walking along with him for the whole Yatra and these ‘Yatris’ have got special appreciation from him. He interacted with them and appreciated their active participation in making India a less polarized country and said that these Yatris are very much an inspiration for the party members.
Today, the Yatra resumed from MGB Bajaj showroom, Balanagar Main Road, Hyderabad City, and marks the 56th day of the Yatra.
