Marvel Studios’ latest outing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released last Friday and is doing exceptional business worldwide. Even in India, the film was released amid a huge buzz and thus, the collections are huge as well. Within two days, the film crossed the 25-crore mark in India.
According to the trade reports, Black Panther 2 collected Rs. 12.75 crores on the first day. The earnings became better on Saturday as the film managed to collect Rs. 14.50 crores on the second day. In these two days, this superhero film collected around Rs. 27.25 crores. It is expected that Black Panther will cross the 40-crore mark today.
These are very good figures considering it is a Hollywood film. Black Panther once again proves the popularity of Marvel films in India. It outperformed other films like Uunchai and Yashoda which were released on the same day. However, Black Panther’s collections are still behind the earnings of Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
It is reported that Black Panther 2 collected 84 million dollars from 4396 locations worldwide so far. As the reviews are good, it is expected to do well in the coming days too. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is directed by Ryan Coogler.
