Ahead of the upcoming mini-auction, all IPL franchises have been given a chance to trade their players with other teams. November 15 is the deadline for the IPL teams to submit their retained players list. Ahead of releasing their respective retained squads, teams are making trades and releasing players if necessary.
Australian fast bowler Jason Behrendorff has been traded from Royal Challengers Bangalore to Mumbai Indians. He was bought by RCB in the IPL 2022’s mega auction for Rs. 75 lakhs. Behrendorff played for MI in 2018. He represented Chennai Super Kings in 2021 and RCB in 2022.
On the other side, Kolkata Knight Riders traded two players from the defending champions. New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson and Afghanistan wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz will move from the GT camp to the KKR camp. GT bought Lockie in 2022. Gurbaz was taken as a replacement for Jason Roy earlier this year. Before playing for Gujarat, Lockie Ferguson represented KKR and proved to be a good addition to them. Now, he is back to his original IPL team.
We can expect more trades and released players’ news in the next two days. The mini-auction for the IPL 2023 will be held on December 23 in Kochi.
