Bollywood hero Varun Dhawan is the only active Bollywood hero who has a unique filmography of doing a very unique film every now and then. He gained a huge following with his Badlapur & October, establishing himself as one of the prominent actors of this generation in the industry.

He recently came up with a comedy horror ‘Bhediya’. He shall be turning into a werewolf during the night and the plot is about how’s he gonna manage his life. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik, who brought us the blockbuster horror comedy ‘Stree’ in 2018. Released in the theatres on November 25, the film took a decent start at the box office. According to reports, the film collected around ₹6 – 7 CR on Day 1. The film did rarely well as it withstood Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster ‘Drishyam 2’, which release just a week prior. The actual target for Bhediya was a double-digit start, hence the numbers are disappointing.

Even trade pundits expressed a little disappointment with the film, citing poor VFX and a strange concept. They also said that it is lower than the last Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo across’ all circuits by a margin through pockets.
