PM Modi to launch important applications on the eve of Constitution day!

Commemorating the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949, the day has been celebrated as Constitution Day since 2015. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part in the celebrations at the Supreme Court on Saturday at 10 AM, as per an official press release.

It is reported that the Prime Minister shall launch various new initiatives under the “e-court” project. In wake of the late delivery of judgement for nearly 2,3 decades old cases, along with various think brains, the government has decided to make an effort to provide services to litigants, lawyers and the judiciary through information and communication technology. The initiatives being launched by the Prime Minister include:

Virtual Justice Clock: Through this, the functioning of the courts is made accountable and transparent by sharing with the public the status of case disposals by the court. The public can access the Virtual Justice Clock of any court on the District Court’s website.

JustIS Mobile App 2.0: Judges of the High Court and Supreme Court can now monitor the case pendency and its disposal through this application

Digital Court: The digital court is an initiative to make court records available to the judge in digitized form.

S3WaaS Websites: This is a framework to generate, configure, deploy and manage websites for publishing specified information and services related to district judiciary.
