It has been more than two and a half years since the COVID-19 pandemic attacked the world and many countries are yet to recover from it. Even in India, multiple COVID-19-positive cases are being registered every day. The reports suggest that India recorded 343 fresh coronavirus cases on Sunday.
According to the data released by Union Health Ministry, the total tally is now 4,46,71,562. Out of them, the active cases are 5263. The death toll raised to 5,30,612. Four more fatalities were registered the other day. Three deaths are reported in Kerala and one in Maharashtra.
The recovery rate has been improved as it is now at 98.80%, according to the Health Ministry’s website. The active cases are just 0.01% of the total infections. A total of 132 cases have been recovered in the last 24 hours, stated the website.
Meanwhile, the reports reveal that 219.90 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered so far across the country. The COVID-19 tally of India crossed the 20-lakh mark on August 7, 2020. It crossed the one crore mark on December 19, 2020, two crore mark on May 4, 2021, three crore mark on June 23, 2021, and four crore mark on January 25, 2022.
