During the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India – IFFI at Goa, one of the jury members, Nadav Lapid, a renowned filmmaker who hails from Tel Aviv, Israel, made a comment stating that the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ is a propaganda & vulgar film and he’s shocked that the film was previewed!

Post this, the whole social media went havoc and almost every noted influencer made their own stand & statements sharing the speech. Although the team remained silent, filmmaker Vivek wrote a tweet “GM. Truth is the most dangerous thing. It can make people lie. #CreativeConsciousness” and went on to retweet some supportive tweets while, Anupam Kher, who played the protagonist of the film, went onto share a couple of videos responding on the issue. While one is him coming out of the temple, as part of promotions for his next film, he uploaded another video solely responding on the row.

“‘The Kashmir Files’ is one such film which only showcased the tragedy in a real narrative. The film is the truth. It looks like many people are discombobulated because of the truth but that doesn’t change anything. If your holocaust is true, so is the exodus of Kashmir Pandits” said the actor.
