FIFA World Cup 2022: Over the weekend, Mexico – Argentina competed in the World Cup. Messi and the squad nailed the game and they wound up winning 2 – 0 and the team celebrated their huge victory. Later a video of their celebration emerged from the Argentine locker room and Messi too was celebrating, standing next to a Mexican jersey on the ground.

This erupted a huge controversy on the internet and it ended up with Mexican boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez threatening Messi. Following Messi-Mexico shirt rage, this boxing professional issued an apology and said he got carried away. He took to his Twitter handle and he shall continue supporting Mexico until the end.

“These last few days I got carried away by the passion and love I feel for my country and made comments that were out of place for which I want to apologize to Messi and the people of Argentina. Every day we learn something new and this time it was my turn. I wish both teams much success in their matches today and here we will continue supporting Mexico until the end” wrote Canelo Alvarez.
