After the conclusion of the ODI series, India and Bangladesh is now set to take on each other in Tests. The first Test will begin today at Chattogram. India lost the ODI series by 2-1 and is looking forward to redemption in the Test series.

Captain Rohit Sharma is ruled out of the first Test due to an injury. KL Rahul will lead the side in his absence. He might be opening the innings along with young and promising Shubman Gill. Axar Patel may come into the playing XI as a replacement for injured Ravindra Jadeja. Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav are expected to lead the bowling attack in Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami’s absence. Virat Kohli, Chateshwar Pujara, Shreyas Iyer and Rishab Pant will fill in the middle order. Ravichandran Ashwin and Shardul Thakur may get in as the remaining players of the starting XI.

On the other side, Bangladesh will rest its star bowler Taskin Ahmed for the opening tests. Shakib Al Hasan, who was hit in the ribs in the third ODI, has cleared medical tests and is declared available for the match. The pitch at Chattogram will help the batters. So, we can expect a high-scoring game. The match starts at 09:30 am IST.
