Lionel Messi-led Argentina qualifies for the World Cup Final by beating Croatia by 3-0

Lionel Messi-led Argentina

Argentina is just a step away from winning FIFA World Cup 2022. Legendary player Lionel Messi’s long-lasting dream is just a win away. Argentina has beaten Croatia in the semifinal by 3-0 and qualified for the final of this World Cup. This is the sixth time Argentina qualified for the finals of the FIFA World Cup. The last time they qualified for the final was in 2014. Argentina last won the World Cup in 1986.

While Julian Alvarez scored two goals for his team, Messi scored one through a penalty. Croatia, which had put up an impressive show throughout the world cup, had fought well but Argentina was too good for them in this game.

Argentina got an early advantage as Messi scored a goal through a penalty in the 34th minute. Within the next five minutes, Alvarez scored a goal. By half-time, Argentina was in a dominant position with a score of 2-0.

The game completely went into Argentina’s hands when Alvarez scored another goal in the 69th minute. It was Messi’s brilliant assist which helped Alvarez in scoring the goal. Messi and his men never gave a chance to Croatia in taking advantage throughout the game. Argentina will now face either France or Morocco in the Final on December 18. The second semifinal will be held on December 15 at 12:30 AM.
