Jim Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ was released last weekend amongst the real hype all across the globe. The film is touted to be the most anticipated and awaited film this year and the audience has finally witnessed the world which is born from the imagination of the legendary filmmaker.
As we reported earlier, the film has a huge hype in India than in any other country. The rate at which the tickets were booked and theatres were allocated for the film along with special shows is an example of the sheer demand for the film in India. Proving this, the film has scored record numbers at the box office too. The film opened with around ₹41 CR and has already crossed ₹1500 CR worldwide. Huge numbers are expected on the second day too, scoring around ₹42 CR and touted to show around 5% – 10% growth according to the trade pundits. It might even go higher if the South markets hold better.
The film collected huge numbers in Andhra Pradesh & Kerala exclusively, making it the biggest opener in India in the post-pandemic era.
