Right a few days ago, Bollywood is facing many difficult situations, from back-to-back flops and filmmakers being threatened with Boycott Trends.
Recent releases like Shamshara, Raksha Bandhan, and Laal Singh Chaddha have seen a similar fate. Even future releases like Liger, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva are expected to face similar issues. If nothing, the #BoycottBollywood hashtag has forced the filmmakers to take a close look and make necessary changes.
Sharing opinions on these Bollywood conditions, Swara Bhasker, who returned to Bollywood after four years with the Jahaan Chaar Yaar film, made some interesting comments. She said a few reasons for Bollywood’s failure, one among which was about the late actor Susanth Singh Rajput.
The actress said, “One of the reasons for Bollywood failure is after the unfortunate and tragic suicide of Sushant, Bollywood has been painted as a really dark place, that is only about drugs and alcohol and sex. My question is very simple, ‘if everyone is doing just this, then who is making films?’ Unfortunately, Bollywood is being discredited. Some people just don’t like Bollywood”
