After a close defeat against Pakistan a couple of nights ago, Team India is looking forward to bouncing back in the match against Sri Lanka, which will be held tonight. On the flip side, Sri Lanka won its first Super-4 game against Afghanistan and aiming to continue the form against India as well.
India rested Avesh Khan and Dinesh Karthik for the last game. Rishab Pant and Ravi Bishnoi replaced them. Deepak Hooda replaced Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI. In this game, we can expect off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to make an entry as there are many left-handers in Sri Lanka. We can also expect Avesh Khan to make a comeback to the team.
Sri Lanka gained a lot of confidence after a dominating victory against Afghanistan. Not one but many of its players are contributing well in every game. Thus, we may not see any changes in its playing XI. Sri Lanka and India played against each other in only one Asia Cup T20 game until now. It was in 2016 and India won that match.
Dubai International Stadium will host the game. It begins at 07.30 PM IST.
