It looks like theatres issue in Nizam area is likely to cause a big problem. According to Tollywood internal sources, matter of distribution rights is emerging as a major headache for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘God Father’ in Telangana. Initially, the rumours were rife that Dil Raju and Sirish have grabbed the rights of God Father and later, producer SV Prasad planned to distribute his film in Nizam. Finally, he got a bumper deal from a distributor who offered Rs 22 Cr for Nizam rights.
The Nizam distributor who acquired the rights further cracked a deal with Asian Group’s Sunil and they partnered to release it in Telangana. Certainly, Dil Raju and team are said to be not happy with this move. Though Dil Raju maintains etiquette and holds himself, Sirish seems to have taken it hard this time. Even though SVC is making a grand movie with Ram Charan, they would want to block the main theatre in RTC X Roads (Sudarshan) for PS-1 that is coming on 30th September.
According to speculations, Sirish is making all efforts to hold their upcoming distribution PS-1 in Sudarshan for more than a week to block ‘God Father’ in that theatre. This is in a way directly locking horns with Asian Sunil and distributor who acquired rights of ‘God Father’. Similarly, they might create problems in other areas too.
