Bollywood is still stuck in the web of disasters. Especially, most of the big hero films are failing miserably at the box office. The latest addition to the list is Ajay Devgn and Siddharth Malhotra-starrer Thank God. Even though it was released during Diwali festive season, this film failed to do well in the theatres.
With each passing day, the collections of Thank God are decreasing at the ticket counters. Thank God opened well by collecting Rs. 8.10 crore on its first day. But as soon as it received poor word of the mouth, the collections started dipping every day.
According to the trade reports, Thank God received just Rs. 1.55 crore on Day 8. The overall collections now stand at Rs. 32.40 crores. It had only 8.42 overall occupancy on November 1. Going by the trend, it looks like Thank God will remain another biggest flop of this year.
Directed by Indra Kumar, Thank God features Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead. On the flip side, Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu, which was released along with Thank God, is comparatively having a decent run at the box office.
