Ponniyin Selvan is one of the super hit films in Tamil. The first part of the two part franchise met with success in Tamil and made a decent business in Telugu. The film was released on September 30th 2022 and impressed the fans and movie lovers. Already, the majority of the shoot for the second part is completed too. Now, we have an interesting update on the shoot of the second part.
If the reports are believed to be true, the team is planning to finish the patch work and the rest of the shoot in January 2023. The team is on a break now and the arrangements are being made for the new schedule that will begin in January.
Not much of the shoot is actually pending and as soon as the shoot is wrapped up, the team will begin focusing on the post-production activities.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, the movie features a stellar cast of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj.
Ponniyin Selvan is based on Kalki’s eponymous Tamil novel with the same title. Most likely, the second part of the movie will hit the screens on April 28th, 2023.
