There’s a common problem for users office cab service in India- last minute cancellations either by a driver or a customer. People get frustrated when their ride gets cancelled by drivers in the last minute due to multiple reasons best known to all. Passenger will have to spend some extra time to make a fresh booking after waiting for a while before facing an unexpected cancellation.
To avoid these kind of issues in future, Uber India has come up a new feature where in the app will share the destination details with driver beforehand. The new feature is implemented after taking few recommendations by National Driver Advisor Council, that has drivers from 6 cities in it.
After floating it as pilot in May in one city, Uber is now expanding the feature to other cities in India. Based on Feedback from customers, Uber is likely to send out a notification for waiting period charges
