In a shocking incident that happened in the Kollam district of Kerala, a student taking the NEET exam was allegedly forced to take off her bra before writing the exam because the metal hooks of it beeped during the security check. The incident came into the limelight when the girl’s father filed a complaint at the local police station.

According to the reports, the girl was asked by the female security personnel to remove her bra after the security check. When the girl denied doing so, the personnel told her that she would not be permitted to write the exam.

Apparently, the security personnel said, “Is your future important for you or the bra? Don’t waste our time and just remove it.”

The police have confirmed that the complaint has been filed. Police have registered a case under IPC sections 354 & section 509 after a girl student filed a police complaint stating that she was asked to remove her innerwear before entering the examination hall to write the NEET exam on 18th July.

Whereas, The Marthoma Institute of Information Technology, the center where the incident happened, denied the news.

Meanwhile, the cops have also stated that many students were forced to remove their innerwear and all those were lying discarded in the store room. Meanwhile, people are fuming at the college administration, which took the rules to shocking levels.

“We’ve written to NTA & Centre expressing our disapproval of such action. They should make their instructions precisely to avoid misinterpretation by their officials. We’ve to ensure that a student’s psychological condition isn’t hampered,” said Kerala Higher Education Minister R Bindu.
