The Wennington area in Greater London witnessed a massive heat wave which resulted in a major fire accident. The fire at Wennington destroyed multiple houses in the area. The government has now declared it a ‘major accident.’

Reportedly, the fire began in the shrub lands of Wennington initially. Slowly, it spread to the gardens and houses nearby. Meanwhile, it is not the only fire accident that was reported in London on Tuesday. The Fire Brigade had to deal with four to five similar fire accidents across the region around 4 PM UK Time.

The Fire Brigade officials stated that around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines have been deployed to deal with the fire accident at Wennington. Apparently, July 14th was the hottest day ever recorded in the UK as the temperature touched 40.2 degrees Celsius or around 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It broke all the existing temperature records in the history of the United Kingdom.
