Niti Aayog’s India Innovation index 2021 examines ecosystems and innovation capacities at the sub-national level. Later, It ranks the union territories and the states based on their performance to trigger competition amongst them.
In this analysis, Karnataka, Telangana, and Haryana have topped the list by bagging the first three ranks.
As per the reports, Karnataka achieved this because of its excellent performance in attracting large numbers of capital deals and FDI. Whereas, UP and Haryana got a prominent place in promoting the best business environment with a large base of internet subscribers along with the safe ecosystem for further investment.
On the other hand, among the union territories and city states category, Chandigarh bagged the best performer, followed by Delhi.
