Central Railway: 10 more AC trains in Mumbai Division

After the Central Railway and the Western Railway introducing 10 more AC local trains on the main line, the central Railway has taken the decision to increase the AC rakes. This comes in the view of the overwhelming response from the passengers. The facility will be coming into the action from the 19th of August.

On Monday, the Mumbai division of the Central Railway announced 10 more air conditioned (AC) local train services on its main line between Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Thane Badlapur, and Kalyan. The trains will replace the existing non-Ac local trains.

The total number of AC local services will now be increased to 66. However, the new AC locals will not run-on Sundays and nominated holidays.

The following is the list of services that will run as per the existing schedule as AC services.

T-36* CSMT fast local leaving Thane at 08.20 hrs
BL-9* Badlapur fast local leaving CSMT at 09.09 hrs
BL-20* CSMT fast local leaving Badlapur at 10.42 hrs
K-51 Kalyan fast local leaving CSMT at 12.25 hrs
K-62 CSMT fast local leaving Kalyan at 13.36 hrs
T-83 Thane slow local leaving CSMT at 15.02 hrs
T-96 CSMT slow local leaving Thane at 16.12 hrs
BL-35* Badlapur fast local leaving CSMT at 17.22 hrs
BL-54* CSMT fast local leaving Badlapur at 18.55 hrs
T-129 Thane fast local leaving CSMT at 20.30 hrs

– services will run on Sundays/Nominated holidays as non-AC as per the existing schedule.

Very soon, the Central Railway is planning to run 10 more AC local trains on the CSMT-Thanem Kalyan and Badlapur route.

The passengers are happy with the newly introduced trains and the response is extremely positive and the number of passengers raised by six times.
