The entire nation is now discussing about DigiYatra which is a signature programme launched by the government of India for air passengers.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) and Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) on 15 August, rolled out the beta version of the DigiYatra app to facilitate paperless travel and avoid multiple identity checks at the airport. The programme enables the travellers a seamless and hassle-free travel
From the 18th of August (tomorrow), the Hyderabad International Airport will also roll out the DigiYatra airport for three months.
The DigiYatra programme is a biometric boarding system which is being rolled out in phased manner. Vistara Airlines and AirAsia are the two airlines that are currently integrated with DigiYatra at BIAL.
How to Use DigiYatra app
First of all, download DigiYatra mobile App
• Open DY-ID App/Airline or OTA App/Airport App
• Enter Aadhar/Driving Licence (DL) number for system authentication
• You will receive OTP on their registered mobile/Email
• Enter the OTP in the app
• DigiYatra app will extract e-KYC data from Aadhar/DL Database
• Scan passport first page, Extract MRZ data, Read e-Chip by NFC (optional)
• DigiYatra app will extract reference face from Aadhar e-KYC/DL Data/e-Passport
• Take a selfie; Facial Biometrics will be captured through the app
• Passenger’s face is validated through the Digilocker portal and associated with authenticated face photograph
• Associate Digiyatra IDs with current or future flight bookings or Boarding Passes
• Scan the boarding pass or upload ticket, travel data will be fetched by the app
