The fight between YCP and TDP cadre in Kuppam took the worst turn as the activists of both the parties fought over the tearing of flexis erected by the parties, TDP head and N. Chandrababu Naidu’s security cover has been upgraded to 12+12 from 6+6 NSG commandos.
The central government has ordered the same, while NSG DG has issued orders following those orders. With this 12+12, NSG security was immediately arranged for Chandrababu, who is currently visiting Kuppam.
It seems that the Center has taken this immediate decision based on the information from Central Intelligence. On 25 Aug, the NSG DG thoroughly inspected Chandrababu’s residence in Amaravati and the central office of the Telugu Desam Party.
For the unversed, the Kuppam constituency turned into a battlefield on Wednesday as TDP and YSRCP leaders clashed in the wake of the former’s CM visit to Kuppam. And on Thursday, the area where NTR and YSR statues are located in Kuppam Centre became a battlefield.
As Chandrababu was also supposed to arrive at the same time as the clashes, the police stopped the YSRCP leaders. But YSRCP activists tore down the Anna canteen flexis that are kept next to the NTR statue, which led to further tension. Also, CBN sat on the road for a while protesting YSRCP’s atrocities.
