India recorded 7,591 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the overall Covid tally to 4,44,08,132.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the country also reported 30 deaths in the last 24 hours due to Covid, bringing the total number of Covid-related fatalities to 5,27,779.
The active cases comprise 1.19 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.59 percent, the ministry said. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.15 percent and the weekly positivity rate at 3.59 percent, the ministry said.
In the wake of Covid-19 cases witnessing another steep hike, health experts have recommended various measures to mitigate the situation. Interestingly, despite the alarming rise in cases, it is heard that the majority of cases have mild symptoms.
Also, experts have recommended getting tested timely as an important way to navigate the situation.
