Heavy Rain has taken away approximately 12 people in UP. As per the reports, 12 were killed in rain-related incidents across four districts of Uttar Pradesh since late Wednesday night.
Many parts of UP and the national capital region (NCR), including Gautam Buddh Nagar, witnessed heavy rainfall last night . This heavy pouring led to waterlogging and affected the traffic movement a lot in several areas of Delhi.
Also a moderate rain, which continued as the heavy rain on the second day that is on Friday led to heavy waterlogging in several areas of Gurugram, leading to massive traffic snarls at many places.
At Least 12 people were killed and seven of them are from Etawah. Two are from Firozabad and 1 from Balrampur district. Also 11 people got injured in incidents of lightning, and wall and house collapses in Uttar Pradesh. This rain also affected normal life in Firozabad and forced the closure of schools in Aligarh.
According to the India Meteorological Department, rainfall or thundershowers have been observed at most places over West Uttar Pradesh since the 21st morning itself. It said Etawah observatory recorded almost 140 mm rainfall in 24 hours till 8.30 am Thursday. Rainfall was reported from Agra also.
