After losing the first T20I in Mohali, Team India needs to win the second match in order to keep the series hopes alive. The second T20I will be held tonight in Nagpur. On the other side, Australia is looking forward to winning this game and sealing the series by 2-0.
Bowling was the major issue for India in the last game. The batters performed very well and made a high total of 208, thanks to Hardik Pandya’s blistering 71*, KL Rahul’s 55 and Surya Kumar Yadav’s 46. However, bowlers completely failed in defending the total.
Umesh Yadav made a horrible comeback (2/27 in 2 overs), Bhuvi is still struggling to bowl in the death (0/52) and Harshal Patel is looking off-the-track (0/49) as well. When your lead bowlers concede more than 45 runs each in a T20, it is definitely a concern. India may replace Umesh with Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvi/Harshal with Deepak Chahar.
On the other side, Australia’s team is balanced and they don’t need to change their playing XI. But they may tweak the batting order depending on the situation. Given Mathew Wade’s form in the last match, he may get promoted to the top order.
