Bihar CM Nithish Kumar withdrew his support to Bharatiya Janatha Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. Ever since he has taken that move, a lot of BJP leaders are openly criticizing Nithish Kumar at many public events. Now, Amit Shah has taken a dig at Nithish Kumar saying that the wish to become PM has made Nithish Kumar distance himself from BJP.
Amit Shah on Friday said he backstabbed the BJP and joined hands with RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav to pursue his prime ministerial ambitions. In BJP’s first major event in Bihar, Amit Shah made these comments. Addressing the people of Seemanchal region, Shah mentioned that they had nothing to fear as there was leadership of Narendra Modi at the Centre.
“Now that Lalu has joined (the Bihar government) and Nitish Kumar is sitting in the lap of Lalu, there is an atmosphere of fear. I have come to tell you that seemavarti districts are part of India and nobody has any need to be afraid,” said Amit Shah.
Nithish Kumar walked out of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) last month and joined a Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) with Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
We have to see how Nithish Kumar will counter these comments now.
