Roger Federer is a world class Tennis Player who recently announced his retirement. After his retirement, many legendary sportspersons have commented and extended their best wishes to Federer. Rafa Nadal who is considered to be the rival to Federer on the ground has also become emotional thinking that he would not get a chance again to play with Federer. During the last game of Federer on Friday, the both Tennis players have become emotional and it is going viral on social media.
Federer did not play after Wimbledon 2021, and dropped out of the top 50 on 13 June 2022. In July, he became unranked as well. In September, Federer officially announced his retirement from high-level tennis on the ATP Tour, noting that the Laver Cup would be his final ATP event.
On Friday, Federer played his final match but it resulted in a loss. Federer played the doubles match, partnering long-time rival Rafael Nadal, against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. The match was his 1750th match on the tour. Both Federer and Nadal stood together on the same side of the net as they were defeated 4-6, 7-6 (2), 11-9 by their rivals.
After the match, both are caught on camera, having tears in their eyes.
