Billionaire Elon Musk’s long-lasting dream to take over Twitter has finally come true. This morning, he completed his $44 billion acquisition of the micro-blogging site. Musk has finally become the boss of Twitter after six months of public and legal wars over the deal.

Right after taking charge, Musk started implementing drastic changes in the management of the company. He fired the Chief Executive Officer, Parag Agrawal, the Chief Financial Officer, Ned Segal, and the head of legal, policy, and trust, Vijaya Gadde. Even General Counsel Sean Edgett got sacked by Elon Musk.

What was more shocking was Edgett was escorted out of the building. After Musk’s takeover, Twitter will now be operated as a private company. The shareholders will now be paid $54.20 per share. Musk’s ownership will now bring serious changes to the functioning of Twitter.

He said that he wants to ensure ‘free speech on Twitter while he is in charge. We hear that he has plans to restore some high-profile accounts that were suspended in the past for breaking the rules. The suspended accounts also include the account of former USA president Donald Trump. Upon taking the charge and sacking top officials, Musk tweeted, “the bird is freed.”
