Recently a 43-year-old man sent various text messages to cops stating the details of a few men, who he claimed to be the men from the gang of mafia kingpin Dawood Ibrahim, who were on a mission to harm Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the reports, the texts were received by the WhatsApp helpline of the Traffic controlling department of Mumbai.
The investigative department immediately triangulated the location of the informer, which is in West Bengal and cross-checked the details he presented them among over a dozen audio clips, photographs of different individuals, the business card of the managing director of a company, and an Aadhar card & other things. The police learnt that the suspect used to work in a gold jewellery-making unit and showroom in Kerala and was termed to be schizophrenic.
“When we inquired through our sources, we learnt that he is mentally unstable. He lost his brother recently and was also laid off four months ago. The police also spoke to his other brother. The two persons the suspect named as Dawood men worked with him at the gold jewellery unit in Kerala” said a crime branch officer.
