IND vs NZ t20 series

IND vs NZ: After the semifinal exit in the T20 World Cup a few weeks ago, Team India came back hard and won the bilateral T20 series against New Zealand. The three-match series was severely affected by the rain. In the end, India sealed the series by 1-0.

The first match of the series was abandoned due to rain without a ball being bowled. India won the second game comfortably, thanks to a brilliant century by Surya Kumar Yadav. New Zealand had to win the third T20I to level the series.

While batting first, the hosts made 160 runs. Devon Conway (59) and Glenn Phillips (54) scored impressive half-centuries. Mohammed Siraj (4/17) and Arshdeep Singh (4/37) scalped four wickets each. India fumbled in the chase and lost wickets early. By the end of 9 overs, it scored 75/4. That’s when the rain stopped the play. At that point, the DLS scores of both teams were the same. As the rain got heavier, the umpires declared the match a tie and India won the series by 1-0.

Hardik Pandya-led team was impressive in the tournament. Now, the men in blue are getting ready for the three-match ODI series that starts on November 25. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the side.
