Navy Day: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauds Indian Navy on the special occasion

India celebrates the Navy Day today. Every year, we, Indians celebrate the Navy Day to mark the achievements in ‘Operation Trident’ during the 1971 Indo-Pak War. A lot of special events take place on this occasion where the officials remember the bravery of the Navy officers. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended their wishes to the nation.

This morning, Narendra Modi took to his Twitter profile and wrote special wishes. “Best wishes on Navy Day to all navy personnel and their families. We in India are proud of our rich maritime history,” Modi said in a tweet.

On this special occasion, President Droupadi Murmu will be on a two-day of tour of Andhra Pradesh. Droupadi Murmu will be attending the Navy Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam. The President will attend the Navy Day Reception at Ananthagiri in Visakhapatnam and later leave for temple-town Tirupati.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh too took to his Twitter profile to extend the Navy Day wishes. “Greetings to all @IndianNavy personnel on #NavyDay. The Indian Navy is at the forefront of keeping our country safe by ensuring impeccable maritime security. The nation is proud of Indian Navy’s valour, courage, commitment and professionalism.” he wrote.
