India and Bangladesh headed into a clash in Cricket today in their first One Day International match of the new series. The series was taking place at Dhaka and surprisingly, Bangladesh registered a thrilling victory against India which is quite surprising.
Bangladesh player Mehidy Hasan Miraz has played a great knock to take his team to victory. He played very well by protecting the wicket. The Indian bowlers did well but the Bangladesh batsmen played well. Indian batsmen shockingly disappointed in today’s match.
India gave a target of 187 to Bangladesh. Initially, the Bangla batsmen struggled to make a partnership. However, Litton Das (41), Anamul Haque (14) and Shakib Al Hasan (29) made good contributions. It is Mehidy Hasan Miraz (38) who took the match away from India by making a 51 run partnership with Mustafizur Rahman (10).
Thus, Bangladesh made 187/9 in 46 overs easily.
From Indian team, Siraj scalped three wickets (3/32) while Kuldeep Sen (2/37) and Washington Sundar (2/17) got two wickets each. When India batted first, only KL Rahul played well. He scored 73 runs. Shakib Al Hasan’s brilliant spell (5/36) restricted India to less target. India got all-out for 186 in 41.2 overs.
Bangladesh is leading with 1-0 in the series and India must win the next two games to win the series.
