Krishna Vrinda Vihari Review: Promising actor Naga Shaurya is desperate to score a solid hit in his career. So, the actor is back to his favorite genre and did a romantic entertainer Krishna Vrinda Vihari helmed by Aneesh Krishna. Let us know how the movie is!
Storyline:
The story revolves around a traditional Brahmin guy named Krishna( Naga Shaurya) who falls for a girl named Vrinda ( Shirley Setia) at the workplace. Later, Krishna somehow manages to impress Vrinda and proposes to her for marriage. But with some unexpected situations, the rest of the drama is all about how the couple takes their relationship to the next phase by getting acceptance from both sides of the families.
What’s Entertaining & What’s Boring:
Second half has some good emotions and mainly attracts a family audience. Couple of comedy tracks are handled well by the director. Also, Naga Shaurya steals the show with his Brahmin character.
The screenplay is very flat and dilutes the audience interest with an unengaging l first half. The realization scenes for Mother in law and Daughter in law were rushed and lacked emotions.
Performance of Cast & Crew:
Naga Shaurya steals the show as a Brahmin guy. He performed his role with ease. Heroine Shirley Setia is just ok in her role. Kollywood actor Amitash Pradhan looks good in the manager character. Senior actress Radhika Sharathkumar as a traditional Brahmin mother steals the show. Rest of the artists such as Brahmaji, Rahul Ramakrishna, Vennela Kishore and Satya are okay in their roles.
Coming to technical aspects director Anish R. Krishna would have concentrated more on writing, as it lacks emotions and logic at times, mainly in the first half. The screenplay looks flat and dilutes the essence. Music by Mahathi Swara Sagar is just average. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is decent and editing by Tammiraju is okay.
First Half & Second Half:
First half is the major minus for the film as both the direction and screenplay misses its charm in this half. Even songs don’t add any entertainment to this half.
Second half is good with family drama and emotions. Also this part is where the actual story starts and goes in a flow. However, the climax is very routine.
Impressive:
Naga Shourya performance
Couple of comedy tracks
Some drama in 2nd half
Unimpressive:
Poor writing
Flat Narration
First half
The IBC News take:
Overall though Krishna Vrinda Vihari’ offers a relatively fresh story and good emotions in the second half, the routine climax and poor first half made the film just an average watch for this weekend.
One-Line Review:
An average family entertainer
