Indian National Congress has unveiled the logo and launched the website of its prestigious Bharat Jodo Yatra. This five-month yatra will begin on September 7 from Kanyakumari and will end in Kashmir. It covers a total of 3570 kilometres. The yatra is expected to last for more than five months.
Senior party leaders Jairam Ramesh and Digvijay Singh held a press meet regarding this yatra earlier today. They stated that around 100 members will be participating in this yatra from beginning to end. They will be called ‘Bharat Yatris.’
Around 100 ‘Athithi’ yatris will participate from the states which are not falling in the yatra’s route. Around 100 ‘Pradesh’ yatris will join from the states from which the yatra passes by. At a time, around 300 members will be participating in the yatra.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will be considered as a part of Bharat Yatris. The yatra comes up with the tagline ‘Mile Kadam-Jude Vatan.’ It will cover 12 states and 2 Union Territories in total. All details about the yatra will be available on the website.
