Maharashtra politics have been settling down currently with the chief minister Eknath Shinde taking the charge and ensuring that everything will be smooth from now, in the administration. Meanwhile, his recent conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi garnered everyone’s attention big time. On Wednesday, the Maharashtra government revealed that Modi has assured the state a similar project like Vedanta-Foxconn Semiconductor.
The government was under the fire from the Opposition for losing out on the mega Vedanta-Foxconn semiconductor project to Gujarat. However, Modi assured the government that it will get a similar project or even a better one.
The state Industries Minister Uday Samant said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke to the prime minister on Tuesday after Gujarat bagged the project. Everyone thought that the project will be set in Maharashtra but in the last minute, it has been allocated to Gujarat.
The chief minister put forth his views before the prime minister on Vednata (Foxconn semi-conductor project). After listening to the points of Shinde, PM Modi gave an assurance to the state, filling happiness in the Shiv Sena camp.
Shiv Sena leader and former minister Aaditya Thackeray had said that the current government has has lost the confidence of potential investors.
