Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan proved his strength at the box office with his last film Vikram. Starring in the titular role of the film, Kamal Haasan displayed his box office potential to the new age audiences. Directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj, the film has performed very well at the box office. The film has completed its theatrical run after 113 days to become the highest-grossing film ever in Tamil Nadu.

The movie opened to a positive response from everyone on the release day itself. The trade pundits say that the movie grossed over ₹500 crore worldwide. Vikram has already surpassed SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion by securing the spot of the highest-grossing film in Tamil Nadu.

Vikram released on June 3 and made ₹164.75 crore in its first week in the theatres. The film was released in Telugu as well, along with the Tamil version. The Telugu version also resulted in good profits to the producers.

Vikram got its digital release on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on July 8. Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, and others played pivotal roles in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander composed the film’s soundtrack.
