Rishabh Pant became the hero of India’s five-wicket victory in the ODI series with his masterful play. He scored 125 (not out) out off 111 balls in the match. Interestingly, this is his 1st century in white ball match which made him as India’s first wicketkeeper-batter to bag centuries in both ODIs and Tests in England.
For his fabulous play, he also won player of the match. Later this achievement, in a video uploaded by the fan, Rishabh is seen giving the champagne bottle to Ravi Shastri, the former India head coach. This duo shook hands and hugged each other.
With the crowd shouting in the background of the stadium, Pant then acknowledged the crowd and said, “Hopefully I will remember this for the rest of my life, but when I was in I was not thinking about anything. I was just trying to focus on one ball at a time. You always aspire to play like this when your team is in trouble. The more experience you get the more you improve”.
